Truth in Lending Act (TILA) Disclosure Statement
HL Hunt Marketplace Credit Builder Account
This disclosure provides the key terms of your HL Hunt Credit Line in accordance with the federal Truth in Lending Act (TILA), 15 U.S.C. § 1601 et seq., and Regulation Z, 12 CFR Part 1026. Please read it carefully and retain it for your records. This disclosure is provided in addition to, and does not replace, the HL Hunt Marketplace and Credit Line Terms and Conditions.
Critical Payment Structure Disclosure
YOU HAVE TWO SEPARATE PAYMENT OBLIGATIONS:
1. MONTHLY MAINTENANCE FEE: A recurring monthly fee required to keep your account active and in good standing. This fee is disclosed based on your membership tier. THIS FEE DOES NOT REDUCE YOUR CREDIT LINE BALANCE. IT IS A SEPARATE FEE FOR ACCOUNT MAINTENANCE.
2. CREDIT LINE BALANCE: The total amount you owe for Marketplace purchases. This balance must be paid separately through voluntary Balance Payments. THE MONTHLY MAINTENANCE FEE DOES NOT PAY DOWN THIS BALANCE.
Paying the Monthly Maintenance Fee keeps your account active but does not reduce the amount you owe for purchases. You must make separate Balance Payments to reduce your Credit Line Balance.
1. Annual Percentage Rate (APR) for Purchases
0% (Zero Percent) — No Interest
You will not be charged any periodic interest on purchases made through the HL Hunt Marketplace using your Credit Line. HL Hunt currently operates with a 0% APR model on Marketplace purchases. Your balance consists solely of the principal amount of your purchases plus any applicable fees; no interest accrues on your Credit Line Balance.
2. Finance Charges
$0 — No Finance Charges
You will not incur finance charges for carrying a balance on your Credit Line. Because HL Hunt operates with a 0% APR model, no periodic finance charges are assessed on outstanding balances. However, you remain responsible for repaying 100% of your Credit Line Balance (the principal amount of your purchases) plus any applicable fees.
3. Minimum Interest Charge
None
There is no minimum interest charge because no interest is charged on your Credit Line.
4. Credit Limit
Your approved credit limit will be disclosed in your account dashboard and in your account acceptance email at the time of approval. Credit limits vary by membership tier, account history, and HL Hunt's underwriting criteria. HL Hunt reserves the right to adjust your credit limit at any time.
Important Credit Line Restrictions
- Your Credit Line is NOT a general-purpose credit card. It cannot be used at any retailer, merchant, or website outside of the HL Hunt Marketplace.
- Your Credit Line is NOT a cash-access product. It cannot be withdrawn as cash, transferred to bank accounts, or converted to cash equivalents.
- Your Credit Line is a closed-loop, virtual tradeline usable ONLY for purchases inside the HL Hunt Marketplace at www.hlhunt.org/marketplace.
- Any attempt to use the Credit Line outside of the HL Hunt Marketplace is prohibited and may result in account termination.
5. Grace Period for Repayment of Balance
Not Applicable
Because no interest is charged on your Credit Line Balance, there is no grace period in the traditional sense. However, you are required to pay the Monthly Maintenance Fee by the due date each billing cycle to maintain your account in good standing. Your Credit Line Balance may be carried from month to month (revolving credit) as long as the Monthly Maintenance Fee is paid on time, but the balance must eventually be repaid in full through separate Balance Payments.
6. Fee Schedule
The following fees may apply to your HL Hunt Credit Line account:

7. Billing Cycle and Statements
You will receive a monthly billing statement at the end of each billing cycle. Your statement will include:
- All purchases made using your HL Hunt Credit Line during the billing period
- Any Balance Payments received and applied to your Credit Line Balance
- Your current Credit Line Balance (total amount owed for purchases)
- Monthly Maintenance Fee due
- Payment due date
- Payment history and account status
- Available credit remaining
Review your statement carefully each month. Billing disputes must be submitted in writing within sixty (60) days of the statement date in accordance with the Fair Credit Billing Act.
8. Payment Allocation and Application
Understanding how your payments are applied is critical:

Monthly Maintenance Fee: This payment is applied solely to the account maintenance fee. It keeps your account active and in good standing but has no effect on your Credit Line Balance.
Balance Payments: These are separate, voluntary payments you make specifically to pay down your Credit Line Balance. Only Balance Payments reduce the amount you owe for Marketplace purchases.
9. Total of Payments
The total amount you will pay depends on your actual usage of the Credit Line and the purchases you make. Because no interest is charged, the total of payments for your Credit Line Balance will equal:
- 100% of purchase amounts — You are responsible for repaying the full principal amount of all purchases made using your Credit Line
- Plus applicable fees — Including Monthly Maintenance Fees, late fees (if any), and returned payment fees (if any)
There is no predetermined payoff schedule. Your Credit Line Balance remains outstanding until you pay it in full through Balance Payments. You may make Balance Payments at any time in any amount.
10. Security Interest
No Security Interest Taken
HL Hunt does not take a security interest in any real or personal property to secure this Credit Line. This is an unsecured credit facility. However, HL Hunt reserves the right to:
- Withhold, suspend, or reverse access to products or services purchased if balances remain unpaid
- Suspend or terminate Marketplace access for delinquent accounts
- Pursue collection remedies as permitted by law for unpaid balances
- Report delinquencies and defaults to credit bureaus
11. Use Restrictions
Your Credit Line is ONLY valid for:
- Personal or business purchases within the HL Hunt Marketplace (www.hlhunt.org/marketplace)
- Eligible subscriptions and services sold by HL Hunt or participating vendors within the Marketplace
You may NOT use this Credit Line for:
- Cash advances or cash withdrawals of any kind
- Payments to external parties, merchants, or third parties
- Purchases outside the HL Hunt Marketplace platform
- Transfer to bank accounts or other financial accounts
- Balance transfers to or from other credit accounts
- Any illegal, prohibited, or fraudulent activity
Violation of these restrictions may result in immediate account suspension or termination and may be reported to credit bureaus.
12. Credit Bureau Reporting
Your account activity may be reported to one or more consumer or commercial credit reporting agencies. Reported information may include:
- Tradeline opening and closing dates
- Credit limit
- Current balance and credit utilization
- Payment history (based on Monthly Maintenance Fee payments)
- Account status (open, closed, delinquent, etc.)
- Delinquencies, defaults, or charge-offs
HL Hunt reports in accordance with the Fair Credit Reporting Act (FCRA) and the Equal Credit Opportunity Act (ECOA). You have the right to dispute inaccurate information by contacting HL Hunt at [email protected].
No Guarantee of Credit Bureau Posting
HL Hunt does not guarantee that your account will be reported to any credit bureau, that any credit bureau will accept or display reported information, or that any credit score improvement will result. Credit bureaus are independent third parties with their own policies and procedures.
13. Right to Cancel
You have the right to cancel your Credit Line and close your account at any time by:
- Providing written notice to [email protected] or mailing written notice to the address below
- Paying all outstanding Monthly Maintenance Fees through the cancellation date
- Paying your entire Credit Line Balance in full — Upon cancellation, your full balance becomes immediately due and payable
Upon cancellation in good standing (all amounts paid), your tradeline will be reported as "closed by consumer" or "closed in good standing," as appropriate. If your account has unpaid balances at cancellation, reporting will reflect the account status at the time of closure.
14. Default and Acceleration
Your account will be considered in default if:
- Your Monthly Maintenance Fee is more than sixty (60) days past due
- You materially breach the Terms and Conditions
- You engage in fraud, misrepresentation, or prohibited use of the Credit Line
Upon default, your entire Credit Line Balance becomes immediately due and payable in full (acceleration). HL Hunt may pursue collection remedies including referral to collection agencies, legal action, and credit bureau reporting of default status.
15. Changes in Terms
HL Hunt may amend your account terms, including fee structures, credit policies, or other material terms, by providing at least thirty (30) days' written notice in accordance with 12 CFR § 1026.9 (Regulation Z). Notice will be provided via email, your account dashboard, or U.S. mail.
You will have the right to reject material changes by closing your account before the effective date of the changes and paying any outstanding balance. Your continued use of the Credit Line after the effective date of changes constitutes acceptance of the amended terms.
Future Interest Charges: If HL Hunt introduces interest or finance charges in the future, you will receive at least sixty (60) days' advance written notice with full disclosure of the new terms in accordance with TILA requirements.
16. Your Rights Under the Fair Credit Billing Act
If you believe there is an error on your statement, you have the right to dispute the billing error. To exercise this right:
- Write to HL Hunt at the address below (do not send disputes to the payment address)
- Include your name, account number, the dollar amount of the suspected error, and a description of the error
- Send your dispute within sixty (60) days after the first statement containing the error was sent to you
HL Hunt must acknowledge your dispute in writing within thirty (30) days of receipt and must resolve the dispute within two billing cycles (but not more than ninety days). During the investigation, you are not required to pay the disputed amount, but you must pay any undisputed portions of your bill.
17. Additional Regulatory Disclosures
HL Hunt Inc. and HL Hunt Lending LLC are NOT banks, credit unions, or deposit-taking institutions. Your Credit Line is not a deposit product and is not insured by the FDIC, NCUA, or any governmental agency. HL Hunt Inc. and HL Hunt Lending LLC are financial technology companies organized under the laws of the Commonwealth of Kentucky.
Equal Credit Opportunity Act Notice: The federal Equal Credit Opportunity Act prohibits creditors from discriminating against credit applicants on the basis of race, color, religion, national origin, sex, marital status, age (provided the applicant has the capacity to enter into a binding contract), because all or part of the applicant's income derives from any public assistance program, or because the applicant has in good faith exercised any right under the Consumer Credit Protection Act.

Acknowledgment of Receipt
By accepting or activating your HL Hunt Credit Line, you acknowledge that:
- You have received and read this Truth in Lending Act (TILA) Disclosure Statement
- You understand the terms of your Credit Line, including the 0% APR and fee structure
- You understand that the Monthly Maintenance Fee is a SEPARATE obligation that does NOT reduce your Credit Line Balance
- You understand that your Credit Line Balance must be paid SEPARATELY through voluntary Balance Payments
- You understand that your Credit Line may ONLY be used within the HL Hunt Marketplace
- You understand that credit bureau reporting is not guaranteed
- You voluntarily agree to repay all obligations under the Credit Line Agreement, including your full Credit Line Balance and all applicable fees
- You have had the opportunity to ask questions and seek clarification before accepting
