These KYB (Know Your Business) Terms and Conditions (“KYB Terms”) govern the collection, verification, and use of business information by HL Hunt Inc., a Kentucky corporation (“HL Hunt,” “we,” “our,” or “us”), during the business onboarding and account approval process. By submitting your business information, you (“you,” “your,” or “Business”) agree to these KYB Terms, which are incorporated into our general Terms of Service.

1. Purpose of KYB

HL Hunt is required to comply with federal and state regulations including, but not limited to, the Bank Secrecy Act (BSA), USA PATRIOT Act, and applicable Anti-Money Laundering (AML) regulations. We collect KYB information to:

  • Verify the existence and legitimacy of your business;

  • Confirm the identity of ultimate beneficial owners (UBOs) and controlling persons;

  • Detect and prevent fraud, money laundering, and illicit activity.

2. Information We Collect

To complete KYB verification, you must provide accurate and up-to-date information, which may include but is not limited to:

  • Legal Business Name and DBA (if applicable)

  • Employer Identification Number (EIN)

  • Business Address and Phone Number

  • Industry and Business Activities

  • Date of Incorporation or Registration

  • State of Incorporation

  • Ownership Structure

  • Articles of Incorporation, Bylaws, or Operating Agreement

  • Government-issued ID and personal information of owners or controlling individuals

  • Banking details (if applicable for payment or disbursement)

3. Use and Verification of Information

We may verify the information you provide through:

  • Third-party identity and business verification services

  • Government and public records

  • Credit bureaus (business and/or personal, if relevant)

  • Regulatory watchlists (e.g., OFAC, FinCEN)

HL Hunt reserves the right to deny or terminate service if your business fails to pass our verification requirements.

4. Ongoing Monitoring and Updates

You agree to update HL Hunt promptly if there are any changes to:

  • Business ownership or control

  • Legal business name or status

  • Contact or operational information

We may periodically request updated documentation or conduct additional checks to remain compliant with applicable laws.

5. Privacy and Data Security

All KYB information is handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy. We implement industry-standard security measures to protect your data. However, no method of transmission or storage is 100% secure.

6. Data Sharing and Disclosure

We may share KYB data with:

  • Credit bureaus (Experian, Equifax, Dun & Bradstreet, SBFE)

  • Regulatory authorities as required by law

  • Our service providers who support verification and compliance
    We do not sell your KYB data.

7. False or Misleading Information

Providing false, forged, or misleading information may result in:

  • Immediate termination of your account

  • Suspension or removal of tradelines or credit builder services

  • Reporting to relevant regulatory or law enforcement authorities

8. Right to Refuse or Terminate Services

HL Hunt reserves the right to refuse service, terminate accounts, or suspend access if:

  • You fail to provide KYB documentation

  • Your business is involved in high-risk, restricted, or illegal activities

  • We are required to do so by law or compliance risk

9. Governing Law

These KYB Terms are governed by the laws of the Commonwealth of Kentucky, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.
